Choice Cuts from "Saw III" to Be Shown
by Movie's Executive Producer
Fans of the horror film series “Saw” will
get a sneak peek at the latest installment on September
30. One of the movie’s executive producers--Ithaca
College graduate Daniel Heffner--will be showing clips
from “Saw III” in a special presentation.
The first two movies in the series have grossed some $250
million worldwide; the latest sequel will officially open

Climbing Expeditions Have Reached the Highest
Points on Four Continents
The Fort Lewis College Outdoor Pursuits climbing expedition
can check off two more continents in their quest to climb
the highest mountains in the world. The 10-member team
has successfully completed its climb of 19,563-foot Mount
Kilimanjaro, the highest peak in Africa. The successful
climb came just two weeks after the team conquered Europe's
highest mountain, Russia's 18,510-foot Mount Elbrus. Read

HSU Hosts International Asteroid Search
Hardin-Simmons University is the site of a pilot program
in the search for new asteroids, the large boulders of
rock that orbit the Sun at an average distance of 300
million miles, three times the distance between Earth
and the Sun. Five high schools are participating in this
30-day pilot program (October 1-30, 2006). Four are located
in the United States and the fifth is in Poland.
