Walter Cronkite to speak at Pacific
Walter Cronkite, whose 19 years as a CBS news anchorman
defined the public’s opinions of the issues of the
day, will speak at University of the Pacific Nov. 6. The
event is free and open to the public.Cronkite was a CBS
Evening News anchorman from 1962 to 1981. During that
time, he became so influential that analysts regularly
dissected his evening broadcasts to get a sense of American
