Soccer superstar Christine Sinclair of the University
of Portland has been awarded the 30th annual Honda-Broderick
Cup, designating her as the 2006 Collegiate Woman Athlete
of the Year. Former winner Jackie Joyner-Kersee presented
Sinclair with the prestigious award, which recognizes
not only outstanding athletic achievement but team contributions,

Recent William Smith graduate Kathleen Bush will spend
the next academic year conducting research in Denmark
as a Fulbright student grantee. The grant, one of only

Bush to study at Roskilde University in Copenhagen, where

Thanks to a recent grant, Lycoming College students will
be studying the eastern "Hellbender" - a special
salamander that may be the harbinger of the health of
the Susquehanna River basin. The hellbender is the largest
salamander in North America, growing to a length of 27
