In an exciting final round, on indigenous fine arts education
in the United States, the University of Puget Sound team
won the National Parliamentary Debate Association Championship
at Oregon State University. With this most recent win,
the team is ranked the best forensics team in the country,
having already won the national championship at the National

AU Begins Joint Degree Program at East China Normal
University
Alfred University is strengthening its commitment to international
education for its students with a formal agreement with
East China Normal University of Shanghai to offer a joint
degree program, as well as faculty and student exchanges.
The presidents of the two universities met recently to
formalize the agreement worked out earlier this year.

The William Jewell College Concert Choir recently returned
from its tri-annual tour in which the college’s
premiere vocal ensemble performed at the great cathedrals
of England and Scotland. The group was the eighth from
William Jewell to “cross the pond” and perform.
