EPA Internship Advances Barry Environmental
Science Majors
A rare bird, a strange fish, and swarms
of singing insects. These are just a few
of the subjects that Barry University environmental
sciences majors are researching with the
aid of the US Environmental Protection
Agency. Since 2004 the EPA has partnered
with Barry in funding an internship program
through the University’s School of
Natural and Health Sciences. The
partnership has given Barry students the
opportunity to round out their education
with real-world fieldwork across Florida
and the United States.
