Vibrant Community

  • While Cambridge is a cosmopolitan and dynamic city, the main campus at Lesley is located among quiet side streets. Residence halls and college-owned Victorian houses stand alongside stately trees within the campus courtyard.

  • Across Lesley University, there is an environment that empowers students to learn and grow, making connections with friends, peers, faculty, and staff. The office of student activities sponsors programs and events throughout the year. Clubs and organizations run the gamut from fun to serious. The dodgeball club, Amnesty International, the Oxford Street Players, and Students for a Free Tibet are just a few examples. Students will also find a series of lectures on a variety of intriguing subjects, choir concerts, Sunday night movies, and Shakespearean theatre.

  • Athletics add significantly to the atmosphere at Lesley. NCAA Division III teams compete in basketball, crew, soccer, softball, and volleyball. In addition, students can participate in intramural sports such as cross-country, tennis, and swimming. Those students who simply want to stay fit can choose from activities such as aerobics and yoga. All in all, there’s something for everyone, whether students want to put on their sweats and participate, or just watch the action.

  • Few cities in America offer college students more to do than Boston. The Boston and Cambridge area is home to more than two hundred and thirty thousand students, so making all types of friends is a certainty. With everything from the Red Sox to the Museum of Fine Arts to dancing at one of the many clubs on Lansdowne Street, the city offers an abundance of sports, cultural, and entertainment options. Boston transportation is safe and easy to use, making it convenient for students to get where they need to go.
