Energetic learning

  • Evansville students are encouraged to explore their interests, conduct research, study abroad, and gain real work experience. With more than eighty areas of study, students can easily find the program they want, and they are encouraged to take classes from outside their major, providing them with a well-rounded educational experience.
  • More than two-thirds of University of Evansville graduates have studied abroad, making it one of the top five comprehensive universities in the United States for student travel. Students have studied in France, England, Russia, Japan, Italy, Africa, and the Netherlands. Since UE strongly encourages its students to study abroad, students are allowed to use federal, state, and university aid for these approved programs, making a study-abroad experience available and affordable. Harlaxton College, owned and operated by UE and located in Grantham, England, provides a home to approximately 150 students each semester. Students living at Harlaxton Manor spend a four-day week in classes and then have time to take field trips to Ireland, Italy, Greece, France, and other European countries.
  • UE students live on campus and are encouraged to get involved. With over 170 clubs, organizations, and activities, it’s easy for students to find something that interests them. Social, professional, and musical organizations—Evansville students can explore them all. The Center for Student Engagement maintains a list of all students’ involvement with organizations and volunteer activities and provides them with records of these activities, which can be used to enhance students’ resumes and graduate school applications.
