  • Seventy percent of Rollins students study abroad before they graduate and many choose to study abroad more than once. Ranking among the top 10 master's-granting institutions in the country for the number of students who study abroad, Rollins is committed to providing students with a broad and deep international perspective.   • Rollins has consistently won awards recognizing its commitment to community service and engagement. Named one of six colleges in the nation on the 2010 President's Higher Education Community Service Honor Roll, the highest federal recognition a college or university can receive for its commitment to community service, Rollins provides students opportunities to bring their academic curriculum to life through community-focused service projects that benefit local community members and beyond. These real-world engagement experiences include community engagement designated courses, alternative spring breaks, immersions, and non-profit internship opportunities.

  • Rollins has a long history of producing students who compete for and are awarded a wide variety of competitive and prestigious scholarships. In 2012, five students and one alumna were awarded Fulbright English Teaching Assistantships. Since receiving its first Fulbright Award in 1951, Rollins has produced a total of 42 Fulbright Scholars, 17 of which were awarded since 2005.
  • Rollins boasts an economically, ethnically, and geographically diverse learning community. With a student body representing 43 states and 45 countries across the world, students are exposed to a multitude of cultural perspectives.

Faculty as Partners in Scholarship

  • At Rollins, one-on-one interaction with professors is the norm. Small class sizes and our faculty's level of investment in each student ensure that Rollins students receive an education that meets their individual needs and expectations.
  • Rollins offers students the opportunity to participate in high-level, collaborative research with their professors. Since the inception of the Student-Faculty Collaborative Scholarship Program, close to 350 students working in partnership with 77 different faculty members representing 24 disciplines have participated, publishing research in peer-reviewed journals and presenting findings at national conferences.

  • The college offers a wide range of majors and minors in a variety of areas, including expressive arts, humanities, interdisciplinary study, sciences and mathematics, social sciences, and pre-professional programs. The 3/2 accelerated management program allows students to graduate in five years with a bachelor's degree and an MBA from Rollins' prestigious Crummer Graduate School of Business. Additionally, a variety of Rollins-approved off-campus academic programs offer students the opportunity to extend their education beyond the borders of the campus or the country.
  • The Colleges of Arts & Sciences and Professional Studies offer traditional, full-time undergraduate education; the Crummer Graduate School of Business offers MBA and management executive education; and the Hamilton Holt School offers evening undergraduate and graduate programs. These three schools have a combined enrollment of 3,272.
  • On average, 90 percent of Rollins faculty members have a PhD or the highest degree in their field. Eighty percent of faculty travel abroad every three years. Rollins offers 35 undergraduate majors and six graduate fields of study. Small class sizes and a student to faculty ratio of 10:1 provide Rollins students with an outstanding learning experience. Special programs include the honors degree program and the Rollins College Conference for first-year students.

    • Winter With the Writers, a Festival of the Literary Arts, adds to the Rollins College tradition of creating a local literary community of international note by inviting acclaimed poets, novelists, essayists, and playwrights to campus.
    • Rollins also serves as home to one of the nation's oldest Bach festivals; the Annie Russell Theatre, which has a rich tradition of outstanding dramatic performances spanning over seven decades; and the Cornell Fine Arts Museum, accredited by the American Association of Museums and boasts one of the finest collections of art of any college museum in the country.

With the addition of men's and women's lacrosse in 2007-08, Rollins has twenty-three athletic teams, many nationally ranked. The Tars have won 22 NCAA Division II National Championships, 63 Sunshine State Conference Championships, and annually finishes in the top 10 percent of all NCAA Division II schools in the Director's Cup All-Sports Standings. Other student activities include student government; campus media including newspaper, radio, and television programming; Greek organizations; special-interest groups such as the Film Appreciation Organization and EcoRollins; and numerous artistic, musical, dramatic, and social clubs and organizations.

Responsible Leaders and Global Citizens

  • Today's most accomplished business leaders have a liberal arts background. The Rollins MBA program at the Crummer Graduate School of Business is continually ranked highly by Forbes, U.S. News, and Bloomberg BusinessWeek. With programs including Social Entrepreneurship and Sustainable Enterprise, a Rollins MBA fosters an entrepreneurial spirit based on responsible leadership.
  • Throughout Rollins' long history of academic excellence, the college has frequently produced Rhodes, Fulbright, Goldwater, Boren, Udall, and Truman scholars. In 1987, Donald Cram, class of 1941, received the Nobel Prize for chemistry.
  • One of Rollins' most notable alumni is Fred M. Rogers '51 '74H. A music composition major, he became inspired by the words "Life is for Service," a core value of Rollins' mission engraved in marble and adhered to the wall of the loggia near Strong Hall. Rogers went on to create, host, and direct Mister Rogers' Neighborhood, one of the longest-running shows in public broadcasting history.
  • The Office of Career Services is available to assist current students and alumni, offering career counseling, workshops, programs, career fairs, an on-campus interview preparation program, and a job-listing service. Rollins students also have the benefit of connecting with a global alumni network.
  • On average, 45 percent of Rollins' graduates continue their education at top-quality business and professional schools, while other graduates pursue career opportunities across the country. Admission Application Deadline

Early Decision: Rollins offers two early decision options for first-year candidates who have selected Rollins as their first-choice college and who will enroll if accepted.

Round One- Applications must be submitted by November 15. Notifications are mailed December 15, and deposits are due by January 15.

Round Two- Applications must be submitted by January 15. Notifications are mailed February 1, and deposits are due by March 1.

Regular Decision: Fall Admission- First-year candidates who apply by February 15 for the fall semester will be notified of their admission status no later than April 1. Transfer candidates who apply by April 15 for the fall semester will be notified of their admission status no later than June 1.

Spring Admission- First-year and transfer candidates should apply by November 1 for the spring semester and will be notified of their admission status no later than December 15.

Approximately 80 percent of Rollins students receive financial assistance in the form of scholarships and grants. The college awards over $35 million in state, federal, and institutional resources to students on the basis of academic excellence, demonstrated financial need, and ability to contribute significantly as leaders, athletes, and performing artists. The average financial aid award is $32,947.

Florida Residents
Florida Resident Access Grant: Provides up to $2,100 per year for students who have been Florida residents for 12 consecutive months prior to enrollment. An application is available from the Office of Financial Aid.

Florida Academic Scholarship: Pays $100 per credit hour for eligible students. To qualify, students must have a 3.5 weighted grade point average, 1270 SAT scores, and graduate from a Florida high school or Florida home school program. The student must also complete a minimum of 75 hours of community service work while in high school.

Florida Merit Scholarship: Pays $75 per credit hour for eligible students. To qualify, students must have earned a 2.8 weighted grade point average, 970 SAT scores, and graduate from a Florida high school or Florida home school program. Applications must be submitted to the high school guidance office.

Rollins Academic Scholarships
Scholarships ranging from $5,000-$25,000 are awarded to students based on GPA and other academic achievements. Each year, up to 10 full-cost-of-attendance scholarships are also offered. For more information, contact the Office of Admission.

Additional Scholarships
Scholarships ranging from $5,000-$10,000 are awarded to students based on abilities in the arts. Athletic grants are also available. For more information, contact the Office of Admission.

Financial Aid Based on Financial Need
Most need-based financial aid awards include scholarships and grant funds combined with loans and a job on campus. The total dollar amount of these awards can range from $500 to more than $30,000 per year, depending upon the overall academic record and the family’s financial situation.

2. Complete the Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA) requesting that an analysis be sent to Rollins College (institution code: 001515).
3. Review your Student Aid Report (SAR) carefully.
